The design and functionality of the proposed space are perfectly combined in one area of a house. The whole house is designed in pure horizontal and vertical lines.
Large glazed windows provide the feeling of freedom in each room. This modern bungalow with a flat roof is visually impressive and very popular among young families.
The house is designed for flat or slightly sloping grounds. The house entrance is oriented to the drive, which continues to the parking space of the house. The construction itself stresses comfortable use not only for young families but also for seniors.
The house is based on simple forms. The southern glazed facade connected with glazed roofing of the terrace becomes the dominant element. The glazed areas ensure perfect illumination of the space inside.
The side facades are functionally complemented with windows. A covered parking place dominates the north side. The material and form simplicity of the house contributes to its functionality and active standard. The inside arrangement is designed to open the whole space to a visitor and help them easily orientate in the house.
The main entrance to the house is on the northern side. The doorway leads to a hall from which you continue to a utility room and to the main passage. From the functionality point of view the house is divided into the private and the common zones. The main common part consists of an open kitchen, a dining area and a living room with a fireplace, which visually separates the kitchen from the living room. Thanks to a glazed sliding door the space can be opened to the terrace and the house connected with the garden. A glazed sliding door between the corridor and the common zone optically unites the whole house and enables the daylight to penetrate to the central communication area. The private zone consists of a bedroom, children's bedrooms or a home office, a separate toilet and a bathroom.
The substructure consists of a flat board with strip foundations.
A system of peripheral walls of sand-lime blocks or alternatively of brick blocks with a thermal insulation layer combined with an internal system of steel pillars. The inner partition are of acoustically and thermally suitable sand-lime bricks.
The main bearing structure of the ceiling and the roof consists of a reinforced concrete panel, which is thermally insulated, and covered with foil roof membrane. We recommend that photovoltaic and solar panels should be installed on the roof.
PThe terrace surface is covered with terrace planks. There are ceramic tiles in the utility room, in the bathrooms and the toilet. The kitchen floor is of Marmoleum. The floors in the remaining rooms (the living room, the bedroom and the children bedrooms) are covered with wooden floorboards.
All the openings, including the southern main glazed walls are provided with plastic windows with triple insulation glazing as standard. Solar shading is provided by external blinds.
Water is warmed by means of solar panels located on the roof of the house, it is accumulated in a hot water tank, from which it is distributed throughout the house. All the electricity consumption can be covered by solar and photovoltaic panels. The house is aired naturally through the windows. Airing of passive and low-energy houses is complemented by a recovery unit. The house is heated by a thermal pump, a gas boiler is an alternative source. With this suitable design the house produces more energy than it consumes so electricity can be supplied to the public system.
