The house is designed for flat or slightly sloping grounds. The construction is particularly distinguished by its simplicity of shape. White plaster is complemented with wooden cladding, which segments the elegant simple facade and optically connects the windows. A roofed parking space, which also forms a storm porch is connected to the main structure on the northern side and changes to a utility room / garden shed on the eastern side. The utility room with the roofed parking space are in colour contrast to the main object
The construction emphasises comfortable and pleasant utilization by all the inhabitants. The windows are connected by wooden cladding in light shades corresponding with the white colour of the facade. The lower structure of the utility room and the roofed parking space becomes a distinctive element of the whole composition thanks to the contrast shade. The flat roof is suitable for installation of photovoltaic panels and solar collectors. The material and simplicity of shape contributes to the attractive impression and modern standard
The main entrance is on the western side and leads to a hall with doors to the bathroom and the home office. The main part of the ground floor area is occupied by a living room forming one space with a kitchen. French windows in the main sitting area lead to the garden and the terrace with an outdoor sitting area. An open staircase situated in the left part of the kitchen leads to the first floor, where children’s bedrooms, the master bedroom and a bathroom with a WC are located.
While the ground floor has mainly the social function the first floor provides calm and privacy. A roofed parking space and a a utility room / garden shed accessible from the outside form a separate part.
The substructure consists of a flat board with strip foundations.
A system of peripheral walls of sand-lime blocks or alternatively of brick blocks with a thermal insulation layer combined with an internal system of steel pillars. The inner partition are of acoustically and thermally suitable sand-lime bricks.
The main bearing structure of the ceiling and the roof consists of a reinforced concrete panel, which is thermally insulated, and covered with foil roof membrane. We recommend that photovoltaic panels and solar collectors should be installed on the roof.
The terrace surface is covered with terrace planks. There is a concrete surface layer in the utility room. The bathrooms and the toilet have ceramic tiles and the kitchen floor is of Marmoleum. Water is warmed by means of solar panels located on the roof of the house, it is accumulated in a hot water tank, from which it is distributed throughout the house. All the electricity consumption can be covered by solar and photovoltaic panels. The house is aired naturally through the windows. Airing of passive and low-energy houses is complemented by a recovery unit.
The house is heated by a thermal pump, a gas boiler is an alternative source. With this suitable design the house produces more energy than it consumes so electricity can be supplied to the public system.
